Retail Summit 2014 in the centre of retailers’ interest

The Jubilee 20th Year of the Retail Summit has already registered nearly 600 participants.

The varied composition of those registered - both suppliers of goods and services, as well as retailers - is promising interesting discussions. Among the delegates there are representatives of almost all companies from the TOP 10 retailers in the Czech market, namely Kaufland, Tesco, Ahold, Makro, Penny Market, Globus, Billa, Spar and also several dozens of Czech and Slovak COOPs.

The main motto of this Jubilee year is a question "How to succeed in uncertain times?" We are living in the turbulent, volatile times in which we can state with a certain exaggeration that the only thing that is sure (except death and taxes) is just uncertainty. Uncertainty often stems from a misunderstanding. Only those can succeed in businesses that are prepared to navigate in the changing environment, to perceive signals of a new era, to understand and use them to develop new solutions.

The ambition of the organizers of the Retail Summit 2014 was to focus the two-day Summit on searching the paths, how to succeed in times that are not just simple and stable. The fact that these themes resonate with the Czech retail market players is proved by more than 600 suppliers and retailers registered one month prior to the event. Among the delegates there are representatives of almost all companies from the TOP 10 retailers in the Czech market, namely Kaufland, Tesco, Ahold, Makro, Penny Market, Globus, Billa and Spar, and also members od COOP.

In addition, there are also senior managers and owners of other food and non-food retail chains, online retailers or specialised convenience stores, such as Bauhaus, C&A, CBA, Datart International, dm drogeriemarkt, Enapo, Hruška, Hornbach, HP TRONIC, IKEA, Internet Mall, JIP Východočeská, KIK Textil, KIKA Nábytek, Le Premier, MARKLAND Kotva, Metspa, MyFoodMarket, Náš grunt, Netretail Holding, OBI, Rosa Market, Rossmann, SPORTISIMO, Sklizeno, TETA, UNI Hobby, Zoot and many others.

Registration for the Summit is still possible; however, some sections are already highly populated. The high interest in the Retail Summit also contributes to the effective cooperation with many partners, the biggest Platinum ones being ČSOB, O2 and Pilsner Urquell.
