Is your business safe? Experts will give advice at the CIO Agenda conference

The current challenges for the cyber (un)security of companies and organizations will be described in detail at the CIO Agenda conference. On February 21, 2023, renowned experts will discuss everything from prevention and legislation, to examples from practice and the proper handling of evidence after a cyber attack. Last year's event drew attention of 250 participants, not only from IT, but also from other top management sectors. The conference at O2 universum is moderated by Petr Koubský from Deník N.

Imagine being able to predict when a cyber attack hits you and where your weak points are. Even this is possible nowadays thanks to artificial intelligence or behavioral and voice biometrics, as will be mentioned by Radek Šichtanc, Director of the Security department at O2.

It is generally known that the protection and Data Administration are considered to be an essencial need of every organization. But how to ensure that the protection works automatically, and at the same time is surrounded by a user-friendly environment and efficient processes? Martin Vogel from OpenText will show why ECM (Enterprise Content Management) should be a part of each corporate data protection policy.

Don't be afraid of NIS 2 and keep testing

Running various types of tests is a very common way to prevent attacks, but errors frequently occur during application. Cyber security specialist from NAKIT, Petr Dušek, will show why we should not be satisfied just with vulnerability and penetration testing. We'll also look at how this effects building the Government Surveillance Center services. This year brings a challenge in the form of the latest EU Cyber Security regulation. How to prepare for NIS 2 will be explained by attorney Adam Škarka from the Sedlakova Legal office.

Can you defend yourself?

Cyber attacks have escalated in the past two years, and many organizations both local and from abroad became the target of hackers. Ethical hackers Jan Marek and Daniel Hejda from Cyber Rangers will show how to learn from the tactics and techniques of attackers. However, large corporations are not the only targets of these attacks. Veronika Krajčovičová from bugino company will offer a perspective of SME practice. She will show what the reality of maintaining "best practices" in small and medium-sized enterprises represents, what products are used  and what is the level of setting security standards.

Fake invoices are a very special issue. Business E-mail Compromise (BEC) scams are getting more creative, therefore it's beneficial to hear some real-life stories from Martin Haller, Patron IT.

How to behave after an incident, so that nothing gets invalidated for the following police investigation? This advice will be brought directly by the Head of Cybercrime Unit, Richard Valiček. The conference closes with a discussion block moderated by Lukáš Okál, Security Lead at Microsoft. Hackers and security guards under the supervision of a lawyer and a police officer will discuss the specifics of particular attacks: who is the culprit and who will pay for it. The participants will be given the opportunity to discuss their mutual experience during concluding a cocktail.

The CIO Agenda conference is organized by Blue Events for the 8th year. The objective is to bring examples of effective cooperation between IT and other teams in supporting the secure company operation.
