The Dynamically growing retail sector specialised in pet assortment will be the topic of the next year's series of Retail in Detail conference, this time untitled as Friends of Pets. Pet category generates not only interesting financial results, but deals with something what really connects the Czechs – love for dogs, cats and other pets. Note the da of April 12 into the diary and come (maybe in the company of your four-legged friends) to KC City in Prague.

Pet retail has a unique position in the Czech Republic - the number of owners of dogs and cats ranks the Czechs among the European top. Almost every second household has a pet at home, while spending richly on their needs. The owners of these pets are more and more interested in the quality of pet food and other accessories, as well as in reliable sales channels. It is therefore the appropriate time to offer the manufacturers and retailers with pet food and other pet care needs a platform to demonstrate the latest trends in the industry as well as practical advices how to satisfy the customers (represented by their owners) better and how to give this business further development impulses.

The expert program of the Conference will focus on manufacturers and suppliers of pet product range on one side and the small and big retailers on the other side. Participants from among the retail chains purchasers, brand and category managers, suppliers of services (incl. the veterinary) will meet inspiration and news in the pet care offer from manufacturers, trends and facts about the development of retail in different sales channels in the Czech Republic and international comparison. They will focus on practical recommendations for pet food retailers, in particular how to better organize the merchandising and overall outlook of the store, how to communicate with customers and how will the business be affected by GDPR.

The program will be divided into three specialized blocks. The first part will deal with data on petfood and other pet products sales in the Czech Republic compared with Europe, new trends and new demands of customers. Special accent will be given to health, nutrition and lifestyle of domestic animals and to the practical tips from the perspective of pet food producers. The second block will cover the changes in retail network, what channels are preferred by customers and how on-line and off-line business can usefully complement to each other. The final third block will offer a space to the panel discussion of retailers, manufacturers and experts debating on the topic of how to be relevant to the needs of customers in pet retail of 2018, and later.

Don't miss the first Conference, where you can come with your four-legged pets (dog breed), as we will arrange dogs „babysitting“ throughout the Conference.
