“Meaningful future” will be the main topic of 28th Retail Summit edition. In retail, this is connected with humanity, sustainability and efficiency. Technology enabled to accelerate retail and made it more efficient. However, the human aspect should not be missing in it. What role does a human have in the era of big data and artificial intelligence? The decisions we make today must count with its impact in a long term. Only us, humans, are able to do so because we can see the context where machines do not.
“We can imagine the future of business and make it happen as we work together in this world of new retail,“ Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, keynote speaker of Retail Summit 2022 claims. In his most recent bestseller „Framers“, he deals with the topic of how can people improve their decision making in the era of algorithms.
