Blue Events, supported by SAMO – Slovak Association of Modern Trade and other partners, are preparing new top–to-top meeting for the Slovak retail and consumer markets. It will be organized under New Retail Summit 2020 brand in Bratislava, on March 4th. Integral part of the Summit is gala evening with Mastercard Slovak Retailer of the Year award ceremony.
New Retail Summit 2020 has just published its detailed program, presenting the latest international retail development trends. At the same time, enough time will be reserved for the key players of the Slovak market to discuss how these trends may influence local future. This will be very useful mutual dialogue of international and Slovak experts and managers, meeting each other at one podium.
Most representative line-up of foreign speakers
Organizers are happy to announce that they managed to invite several very interesting personalities from abroad to present at New Retail Summit 2020. Tomáš Krásný, representing Blue Events, organizer of both Bratislava and Prague Summits, commented on the program:
„Our ambition is to deliver information on global retail trends and innovations truly from the first hand, in compact and easy-to-digest form. This should save the time and money of Summit participants who would otherwise have to run around various commercial presentations and specialized events“.
Toby Pickard of IGD London (Institute of Grocery Distribution) will be the key note of New Retail Summit 2020. Toby represents an expert who understands “new retail” in detail, being engaged with trend analyses, futures scenarios and retail and food industry innovations. Damir Leko of regional headquarters of Wirecard will then explain how new technologies drive retail change. Another most awaited speaker is Coralie Grau, Strategy and Business Development Manager of ABOUT YOU, who will speak about launch strategy of this successful international e-shop.
What this all represents for the Slovak retail trade?
Main focus of New Retail Summit 2020 will be nevertheless on “so what” - what all these trends mean for companies doing business in the Slovak market. Useful frame for this discussion will be delivered by experts from INESS and Nielsen, presenting the key facts on macro-economy and retail market. Obvious highlight of the Summit will be then then the top-to-top panel, consisting of Presidents of Slovak associations of traders (SAMO, ZOSR and SAEC) and producers of brands and food (SZZV and Food Union of Slovakia).
Senior managers of leading retailers will then share their views on major aspects of Slovak market development – e. g. TESCO will in its presentation focus on sustainability, Lidl on digital innovations, Sklizeno on intelligent retail management, Labaš on new ways of transparent cooperation with suppliers and DM Drogerie markt on dual education.
The program fully respects the fact that one of the strongest drivers of “new retail” expansion are technology firms. Their representation is thus very strong, we´ll hear about implementation of new tools and solutions from ExTech, Qex, Logio, Wirecard or Yieldigo. Microsoft will prepare very inspirational exposition on Omnichannel Store of The Future), presenting individual technologies in connection.
Not just the conference… but social B2B event
New Retail Summit 2020 has been designed as „compact“ one-day meeting with very packed program. Within that, participants will get not just conference with many speakers but also time slots reserved for networking and special gala evening with Mastercard Retailer of the Year award ceremony.
